Into the Woods

Everyone thinks they know the classic fairy tales Cinderella, Jack and the Beanstalk, Rapunzel, and Little Red Riding Hood. But in the hands of Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine and their Tony award-winning musical, we see our favorite childhood storybook characters as never before. This adult fairy tale takes us on the journey of a baker and his wife and their quest to begin a family by ridding themselves of the witch’s curse preventing them from doing so.

An Enemy of the People

When Dr. Thomas Stockmann discovers that the much-heralded local baths may cause serious health problems for the tourists and townspeople who use them, he assumes that his news will be met with thanks by his neighbors. Instead, his brother Peter (mayor of the town), and eventually the local media and citizens, try to convince him that the economic needs of the town are more important than the potential threat of germs that only science is aware of.
